Character
cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of
trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired,
and success achieved.
Helen Keller
At some point
in our lives, we all run into problems that seem too big or too
persistent to handle alone, yet our pride and fear can get in the way
of asking for help. Making the decision to find help is a sign of
strength and courage. And help is available.
Oftentimes
our past wounds impact our present relationships. Because of hurts and
experiences of betrayal, we put up walls, bury our heart, and live our
life in isolation. We become disconnected from others, fearing
vulnerability, protecting our hearts from possible pain. However, when
we dull ourselves to feeling pain, we also dull ourselves to feeling
any of life’s joys. Depression can be the result.
Christy
Braman is devoted to walking alongside people helping them to grow and
recover from difficult life situations. Her area of focus has been
working with women who have spent their energy building walls of
protection around their hearts and stunted their growth relationally.
Christy creates a place of safety which allows women to begin the
process of healing and to be restored to live life to its fullness.
